Montegrappa La Sirena

According to the tradition of Greek mythology, Sirens were fabulous marine creatures whose bodies were half woman and half fish. Not far from the coasts of Sicily, they would cast spells over passing mariners using the softness of their songs and the grace of their bodies, rendering them insensitive to hunger and thirst.

In 1998 Montegrappa dedicated the annual collection Sirena to the intense emotions called forth by these mythological figures with a body in blue resin coiled by an allegory of marine elements and populated by the mythical characters. The creativity and the imagination of the artist Leopoldo Aquila have so represented the fascination of temptation and the enchantment of the depths.

The blue resin pen with silver mermaid-form clip and highly textured mermaid within seascape around the barrel, cap twists off to reveal a silver nib with gold Greek key border.
